Technical description
Please read this instruction manual carefully before installation and first use, and
store it in a safe place. If you pass on the product to another person, hand over this
instruction manual along with it.
1 Technical description
The battery-operated digital pressure gauge (item no. 8885100120) measures the air
conditioner pressure and tyre tread depth. The inbuilt solar cell (fig. 1 4, page 3) pro-
longs the service life of the battery. The LED (fig. 1 5, page 3) shows the device func-
tion.
2 Selecting the measuring unit
➤ Press the ON/OFF button (fig. 1 2, page 3).
✓ The display shows "8.8.8.8" and the four measuring units PSI, BAR, KG/cm
➤ Select the required measuring unit by pressing the ON/OFF button several times.
3 Measuring the air conditioner pressure
Only measure the air conditioner when the air conditioner is switched off.
➤ Press the ON/OFF button (fig. 1 2, page 3).
➤ Press the valve head (fig. 1 1, page 3) firmly onto the measuring unit on the air con-
ditioner for a few seconds. Ensure there are no hissing sounds, as this means that the
refrigerant is leaking out the air conditioner (after the pressure test).
✓ The refrigerant pressure appears on the display (fig. 1 3, page 3).
You can take more readings even if the last reading is still on the display. The display
switches off automatically after 20 seconds.
4 Measuring tyre tread
➤ Place the device with its bottom on the surface of the tyre (fig. 2, page 3).
➤ Slide in the caliper (fig. 2 1, page 3) so that the measuring rod (fig. 2 3, page 3)
touches the base between the two tread blocks.
✓ You can now read the tread on the scale (fig. 2 2, page 3).
