cause adverse effects on the materials used in the manufacture of the equipment. For
textile and plastic materials (tapes, ropes) clean with a cotton cloth or brush. Do not
use any abrasive material. For thorough cleaning, wash the equipment at a
temperature between 30°C and 60°C using a neutral detergent. For metal parts, use a
damp cloth. If the equipment gets wet, either from use or cleaning, it should be left to
dry naturally, away from direct heat.
STORAGE: The personal protective equipment must be stored in loose packaging, in a
dry, ventilated place, protected against sunlight, ultraviolet rays, dust, sharp-edged
objects, extreme temperatures and aggressive substances.
REPAIR INSTRUCTIONS
The equipment should be repaired only by the manufacturer or a person authorised
for this purpose, following the procedures established by the manufacturer.
MARKING
The equipment is marked with the following information:
i)CE Marking Conformity to European Legislation.
ii) Manufacturer's identification
iii) Article reference
iv) Lot or serial number
v) Year of manufacture
(vi) European Standard
(vii) Notified body number
(viii) pictogram indicating the need for users to
read the instructions for use
INSTRUCTIONS FOR PERIODIC INSPECTIONS
Regular periodic inspections are necessary. The safety of the user depends on the
continued effectiveness and durability of the equipment.
Personal protective equipment must be checked at least every 12 months. Periodic
inspections may only be carried out by the manufacturer or a person authorised by
the manufacturer. All parts of the equipment must be carefully inspected for signs of
deterioration, excessive wear, corrosion, abrasion, cuts and usage defects. At the end
of a periodic inspection, the date of the next inspection is determined.
Observations should be recorded on the equipment control sheet.
Check the legibility of the product marking.
CONTROL SHEET
The control sheet must be completed before the equipment is first delivered for use.
All information concerning the personal protective equipment (name, name, address,
etc.) must be included, serial number, date of purchase and date of first
commissioning, user name, history of periodic inspections and repairs, and next date
for the periodic inspection) must be recorded on the equipment control sheet.
The record must be completed only by the person responsible for the protective
equipment.
Personal protective equipment must not be used without its control sheet duly
completed.
