• Connect the mains plug with the socket (Fig. 1).
The red LED is on.
• Fully insert the battery into the charger.
The red LED is on and the green LED flashes, the battery is charging.
• When the battery has been fully charged, the green LED will come on.
• If both the red and green LEDs flash, a charge error has occurred. Check that the battery
is inserted correctly. If the error persists after re-inserting the battery, the battery is de-
fective and must be replaced.
• A flashing red LED indicates that the charger is operated outside the recommended op-
erating temperature range (0°C-40°C). The battery cannot be charged if the temperature
is too loo or too high.

Advice for a long battery service life
Lithium-ion batteries do not have the known "memory effect". Nevertheless, a battery
should be fully discharged before charging it, and the charging process should always be
fully completed. If the batteries are not used for a while, store them partly charged in a cool
place (10-25 °C).
NOTE:
Reduced operating durations after charging indicate a worn battery. The battery must be
replaced.
