3. After this treatment briefly rinse the electrode down with distilled water, e.g. Dupla Dest (item. no. 80410).
4. Fill the protective cap with 3-molar KCL solution, e.g. Dupla KCL-Set (item no. 80480), and then place it carefully on the electrode tip.
5. Leave the protective cap on the electrode for at least 4 hours.
6. Adjust the electrode to the instrumentation and control device.
7. The electrode is now ready for use again.
Storage: For preserving the electrode, the protective cap is filled with 3-molar KCL solution, e.g. Dupla KCL-Set (item no. 80480),
and carefully placed on the electrode tip. Check the electrode regularly every four weeks. The device must only be stored in dry
rooms at temperatures between 10 – 30 °C. The electrode may burst at temperatures below -5 °C due to the inner electrolyte
freezing. The electrode must never be stored in distilled water!
Important notes:
· Never operate the electrode completely immersed, not even for a short time. The cap must always remain above the
surface of the water! Ensure safe fastening of the electrode.
· Always keep the connection plug dry.
· Do not install the electrode cable together with current-carrying, e.g. a lighting or heating cable.
· For extremely precise measurements the calibrating process can be repeated several times.
· Do not use the calibrating solution more than once.
· If the electrode reacts with striking slowness during calibration, the electrode must be cleaned.
· The electrode is fragile! Therefore, it must be treated with care and must not be exposed to any mechanical loads such
as pressure or impact.
· If the electrode has been stored dry for a relatively long time, it must be thoroughly soaked in 3-molar KCL solution, e.g.
Dupla 3-molar KCL solution (item no. 80480), for 24 hours before measurement.
· Reference electrodes with liquid electrolyte should always contain enough liquid. The liquid column inside the electrodes
should reach up a few centimeters higher than the surface of the measuring solution.
· Crystallizing out of the 3-molar KCL solution on the pH electrode is a natural process and does not affect its quality in
any way. Before using it for the first time, simply wash under running water.
· The electrode must never be used in combination with medication, algae killers or similar chemicals!
The electrode must be removed from the tank for the duration of treatment.
Safety instructions: Technical products may only be operated as supplied. Electronic components must not be altered in
any way, and the leads must not be shortened. Covers or housings must not be opened. The product must not be used if
damaged or must be shut down immediately by pulling the mains plug if damage is detected.

precisione.
Cautela: Trattare l'elettrodo pH on cura.
tarati.
