5.5.8. DEFINITION OF FUNCTIONS AND PARAMETERS:
(1) Frequency
PEQ mode, (parametric equalizer), you can adjust the
frequencies put the numbers or move the mouse or use the
keyboard arrow keys to set the frequency (range: 20HZ-20KHz),
you can change the mode (PEQ MODE) or (GEQ MODE), pressing
the same key.
GEQ (graphic equalizer) mode, the frequency is 1/3 of an octave from
the default value assignment, and the specific value is not shown here.
(2) Q Value
In PEQ (parametric equalizer) Mode, you can adjust the Q value (range: 0.15.30-
50) by placing the numbers, rotating the mouse, or using the keyboard arrow keys;
In graphic equalizer mode, the Q value is 1/3 of an octave from the default value
assignment, and does not display the specific value here.
(3) Gain
You can adjust the gain by adding the numbers directly or move the mouse or use
the keyboard arrow keys for frequency (range: -15dB ~ 15dB), or press the buttons
directly to set the gain.
(4) Start button
For each band you have 1 Button (15 Bands-EQ) that can start this band
accordingly
(5) EQ reset button
Left-click and a popup dialog box appears, select "YES" to reset all 15 EQ
Bands.
(frequency, Q value and gain back to the preset state, that is (1/3 Octave)
Note: The preset cannot be recalled again once you click Reset Button!
(6) Bypass button (By-Pass)
Left click this button, 15 band equalizer skipping all (just change the gain value,
don't change the Frequency and Q value). Click again and all equalization
parameters reappear to previous data without bypass.
(7) EQ mode switch button
This is a toggle button for PEQ parametric equalizer mode and GEQ graphic
equalizer mode. Click this button and open a dialog box, click "YES" to change EQ
mode. The difference between graphic EQ mode and parametric EQ mode is as
follows:
(A) GEQ Graphic Equalizer: adopts constant Q technology, and for each
frequency point a fader is established that the filter frequency band never changes,
no matter increasing or decreasing a frequency. And you can make the structure of
the graphic equalizer much simpler and
straightforward, popularly used extensively in professional audio for finer
compensation.
