Videoimpression software is a tool for producing custom
movies and slide shows using your own video clips, pictures,
and sound tracks. There are 6 steps to achieve wonderful
movies.
10.1. Media
In this software's main interface, click on the
select files. There are several ways to obtain video clips, audio
files and photos from the video camera:
a) Selecting files directly from the camcorder:
The camcorder must be in PC mode. Select the "Mass
storage" option and connect the camcorder to the PC via the
USB cable. The flash memory card will be used as an external
hard drive, you will be able to select files directly from there.
b) Select files from memory card.
c) You can also select files directly from a memory card.
Add items from your albums to the storyboard, and they will
(photo camera) icon
combine to create your final movie or slide show.(see image
13)
10.2. Edit
This step is only available for video projects and not slide
shows. You can adjust the brightness and contrast of the
photos and videos in the storyboard. You can also set the
display time for still images and "cut" audio and video files to
play only the sections that you want.(see image 14)
10.3. Effects
You may also add special effects between switching
components on the storyboard. You may either add these
"transitions" manually, or apply a "theme" to your entire
project.(see image 15)
10.4. Text
You can add text to any video or still image on the storyboard.
Text can appear stationary or move about the screen in
various ways. This step is only available for video projects.
You can also set the font, size, colour, and shadow of text.(see
image 16)
10.5. Narration
This step is labelled as "Audio" when working on a slide show
project. Here you can record audio tracks and add them to
the storyboard. You can include as many audio tracks as
you want, and have two of them play simultaneously at any
time. Because your videos may already have sound, you can
actually have a total of three tracks playing at once.(see image
17)
10.6. Production
The final step saves your project. When you have finalised
this step, everything on the storyboard will be combined into
your video or slide show. Options here will vary depending on
the type of project. Video projects will have more save options
(tabs) than slide show projects. Some versions of the program
will allow you to save to DVD.(see image 18)
