2. Lift Rod Escutcheon Installation
Apply a bead of plumbers putty or other sealant to the underside
of the lift rod escutcheon according to the putty manufacturer's
instructions.
From the top of the lavatory, insert the escutcheon through the
center hole.
From the underside of the lavatory, slide the tapered washer and
the friction washer onto the escutcheon shank.
Thread the locknut onto the escutcheon shank and securely
tighten it with a wrench. Do not overtighten.
Remove any excess putty or sealant.
