e)
Engine: check the oil every 4 hours of operation and change the oil every 50 hours of operation. Always
use good quality oil. Perform maintenance intervals according to the instructions in the engine manual.
f)
Transmission: Check the oil level every 50 hours of operation by unscrewing the cap and checking that
the oil level on the machine is correct. If necessary, add oil.
g)
Changing the oil in the gearbox: change the oil when it is hot by unscrewing the filler cap and the plug
equipped with an oil level indicator. After the oil has drained completely, replace the filler cap and refill
it with new oil.
h)
Strip mower: lubricate the blade movement lock with a grease gun every 4 hours of operation. Maintain
proper blade alignment by adjusting the blade handles. They must not be tightened so tightly that they
block the blade. Always keep the blades sharp. After each working day, clean the cutting bar and remove
any grass or mud residue. From time to time, check that all screws are tightened. Whenever transporting
or displaying the strip mower to the public or storing it, it is mandatory to use front protection.
i)
Tiller: clean the underside of the tine cover after each use. Dirt washes off the teeth more easily if it is
rinsed off immediately rather than after drying. Always dry the tiller with a towel and apply a thin layer
of oil to prevent rusting or water damage.
j)
Never use a "pressure washer" to clean the tiller. Water can get into the tight spots of the soil planter
and its gear housing, causing damage to spindles, gears, bearings, or the engine. The use of pressure
washers will result in shorter life and reduced usability.
k)
Do not spray the unit with a stream of water or immerse it in water.
l)
Make sure that no water enters through the ventilation openings in the casing.
m) Clean the ventilation openings with a brush and compressed air.
n)
Do not use sharp and/or metal objects (e.g. wire brush or metal spatula) as they may damage the surface
of the material from which the appliance is made.
o)
Do not clean the unit with acidic substances, medical agents, thinners, fuel, oils, or other chemicals. It
may cause damage to the device.
Storage
If the single-axle tractor will not be used for more than 30 days, follow the steps below to prepare the unit for
storage.
Completely drain the fuel tank. Stored fuel containing ethanol or MTBE can begin to age within 30 days. Old fuel
has a high rubber content and can clog the carburetor and restrict fuel flow.
Start the engine and let it run until it stops. This ensures that no fuel will remain in the carburetor. This helps
prevent the formation of deposits inside the carburetor and possible engine damage.
Lubricate the cylinder by putting a few drops of the same type of oil used in the engine through the spark plug
hole and let the engine run for a short time.
Protect the teeth of the strip mower with a front guard and make sure that the blade does not slip out of the
guide bar. Store the unit upright in a clean, dry building with good ventilation.
