3. Using the provided mounting bracket, verify the
lines meet at an appropriate screw location to
ensure an even level.
Mark at least 4 hole locations, one in each corner.
Ensure the holes are evenly spaced along the
bracket.
NOTE: Ensure the bracket/mounting holes are
level before drilling holes!
NOTE: Ensure the drill bit is correct for the wall
material.
4. Measure 64 mm on the drill depth marker or flag
this depth with masking tape. Drill pilot holes
using the appropriate bit to the marked depth.
•
On wooden walls; verify the pilot holes hit a
stud.
•
On masonry walls; clean the holes with
compressed air or a wire brush. Then, with a
hammer, carefully tap a lag shield into each
hole.
WARNING: For wooden stud walls, lag
screws MUST be securely mounted in a
stud. Failure to do so may result in the
unit falling, resulting in personal injury.
5. Hold the mounting bracket in place, and drive a
provided lag screw with washer securely through
into the drilled pilot hole or lag shield until it is
roughly 6 mm out of the hole. Repeat this process
for all 4 holes. Check the mounting bracket for
levelness, then tighten all lag screws until secure.
4
CAUTION: Do NOT overtighten the lag
screws.
6. Inspect the mounting bracket for damage,
strength, and ensure the lag screws are fully
anchored.
CAUTION: The folding workbench is heavy.
Lift with your legs and ensure proper grip
and control at all times. A second person
might be needed to assist with the following
steps.
7. Ensure the unit is locked and fully closed. Grasp
the folding workbench, using both plastic sides as
hand holds. Ensure hands and arms are clear of
the back of the unit.
8. Using legs to lift, pick up the closed unit, and lift
over the mounting bracket. Ensure the lock is
pointing up and the work surface is facing you.
9. Press the folding workbench against the wall and
slide down until it meets the mounting bracket.
Ensure a firm grasp is held until it is fully engaged
with the mounting bracket.
