2.4 - WHILE OPERATING
Keep other people away from
the working area. Never use the
tool if animals or people, particularly
children, are nearby.
Keep the working area clean, organized
and well illuminated (brightness from
250 to 300 lux), in order to reduce
the risk of accidents.
Always
wear
personal
equipment. Wearing safety goggles,
safety masks, ear protection, non-slip
safety footwear, long sleeve clothing,
gloves and helmet under proper
conditions reduces the risk of injuries.
The clothing worn while operating the
tool must be appropriate and tight,
such as a work coverall. Do not wear
loose clothing or jewellery. Keep hair,
clothing and gloves away from the
moving parts.
A massive load of vibrations may
damage nervous and circulatory
systems to whom have circulatory
problems. Inform your doctor if any
symptoms arise caused by vibration.
Among these symptoms, that occur
particularly on fingers, hands and
wrists, is also included loss of
sensation, pain, muscle weakness, skin
discoloration or tingling sensation.
While operating the machine, schedule
some time to rest and avoid using it
for long periods of time. Permanent
vibration is very harmful.
To ensure a safe operation, you must:
� The blades rated speed must be, at
least, equal to the maximum speed
shown in the technical specifications of
the machine;
� When using the machine, place
yourself in a stable position and well
balanced. Hold the equipment firmly to
ensure a continuous operation and to
withstand unexpected situations;
� When the cutting blade gets stuck or
the cutting action is interrupted for any
reason, release the "ON/OFF" switch
immediately and keep the saw steady
until the blade stops completely;
� Never pull the saw backwards nor
try to remove the work piece while the
blade is moving, otherwise you may
lose control of the tool;
� To avoid displacements or projections,
use fixation devices or a workbench to
protective
ensure a safe operation. Place and
keep the work piece at the right position
and well tightened;
� Make sure that the ventilation openings
are not blocked while operating the
machine. Do not place any objects over
the grids;
� The blades may overheat during
operation. Avoid touching them. It
might burn the user;
� Make sure that you don't damage
the electrical circuits, gas and water
pipes when operating the equipment
in drywalls or other existing surfaces.
Any of these damages may cause
fires, explosions, electrical shocks and
expensive losses;
� Every time you use the machine
inside confined or poorly ventilated
spaces it is recommended the use of an
equipment for extraction and collection
of particles connected to the jig saw;
� Avoid using the machine on surfaces
coated with paints containing lead or
other materials harmful to health. Any
contact or inhalation of dust may cause
allergic reactions and / or breathing
diseases.
2.5 - MAINTENANCE
AND CLEANING
Before inspection, maintenance and
cleaning works, turn the equipment off
and remove the battery.
Replace every worn or damaged part
so the machine can operate safely,
continuously and with no issues.
Cleaning:
Keep this tool clean and dry, free from
oil, lubricants or grease. The machine
must be carefully cleaned after each
use.
Do not use
aggressive cleaning
products. These products may damage
plastics and metals, compromising the
safe operation of the machine.
Maintenance:
Only maintenance works described in
this instruction manual may be carried
out; all other works must be performed
by an official distributor.
Use only VITO-approved blades for this
machine or technically identical parts.
Not doing so may result in personal
injuries or damages to the machine. In
case of doubt, you should contact an
official distributor.
2.6 - TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE
This machine must be repaired only by
the brand official technical service or
by qualified technicians and only with
original replacement parts.
3. ASSEMBLY

3.1 - BATTERY ASSEMBLY

1. Insert the battery in the fitting (11)
placed on the handle (9) and press it
until listen to a "click" of the locking/
unlocking button (10). After this, the
battery is correctly placed;
2. To remove it, press the locking/
unlocking button and pull the battery;
For better results, make sure the
battery is fully charged before
using it.
