AMPERE METER TRANSFORMER
CONNECTIONS
To measure current, place the phase wire to be metered in
the TA hole. The measurement is indirect, thus the
conductor need not be stripped nor is physical contract
required between the conductor and transformer.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If the board is powered and the red LED remains off, proceed as
follows:
Make sure wiring is correct
Ÿ
Make sure there is voltage in the range 12 to 18Vdc in the power
Ÿ
terminal block, +/-
If the board does not communicate with the PC or with Vesta must:
Make sure the red led is on. If this is not the case, perform the above
Ÿ
steps
Make sure the green led blinks at 1 second intervals. If it blinks quickly,
Ÿ
this means that the board is in BOOT MODE (see Lapis manual). If the
green LED is steadily lit or off, cut off power to the board for about 10
seconds and turn it back on.
Make sure wiring to the RS485 BUS terminals is correct.

Make sure that there is no break in the RS485 BUS cable or that it is
Ÿ
connected with either Vesta or Clavis (See relevant manual).
Check the Lapis troubleshooting procedure.
Ÿ
If power metering (W) is not read:
Make sure wiring is correct
Ÿ
Make sure a load is connected to the pass through wire for TA
Ÿ
(HL20100).
Make sure there are no voltages other than those indicated in the
Ÿ
manual.
Do not connect 230Vac mains voltage.
Ÿ
Make sure there is voltage at voltage metering terminal ends (L/N)
Ÿ
which is confirmed by the yellow led turning on. For safety, measure the
mains voltage between L and N with the help of a tester or volt meter.
Check the Lapis troubleshooting procedure.
Ÿ
If the problem persists after these checks, contact your dealer or
service centre.
