We recommend a size 2x0.5 or larger twisted shielded low-capacity cable
(<100pF/m). Optionally, we recommend a size 2x0.5 or larger twisted low-
capacity cable (<100pF/m).
Maximum distance from Clavis or Vesta is 1 km.
For +, - terminals, 2x0.5 cable
Ampere meter transformer input terminal (TA): is made up of a 6-pole
Ÿ
terminal.
Terminals are marked: C1, C1, C2, C2, C3, C3
The ampere meter transformer (TA) must be connected to the relevant
channel (example C1, C1) which is apolar.
Avoid connecting the TA to several channels.
Any external voltage could damage the board (see wiring diagram), (do
not connect 230 Vac mains voltage).
Use minimum 2x0.5 cable or higher for each channel.
Maximum distance 10m.
Mains voltage meter terminal: 3-way model.
Ÿ
Terminals are marked: L,N (the one in the centre is not used).
This terminal measures mains voltage (from 90 to 250 Vac).
Connect phase L to the neutral N.
FIRST START-UP
Place the Tamara board in the junction box. Connect wires as indicated on
the diagrams but with the terminal blocks removed and not powered.
Make sure that there is no voltage over 10V in the RS485 Bus terminal
block (A and B) and that there is no 18Vdc power or ac voltage on
terminals +/- .
Do not connect voltage over 250Vac to the terminal to measure voltage. If
a three-phase system is used, do not wire this terminal, but use Lapis
software to set a fixed value measured with a specific tool (test/volt meter).
Voltages other than those indicated in the manual may damage the board
when the terminal blocks are refitted.
If all steps were correctly completed, insert the terminals.
When the board is powered, the red LED turns on and stays steadily lit
while the green LED will start blinking at 1 second intervals 5 seconds
after the board is switched on.
The yellow LED turns on if there is a voltage between 90 and 250Vac.
