CAUTION:
- DISCONNECT THE POWER SUPPLY BEFORE PROCEEDING WITH INSTALLATION.
- INSTALLATION MUST ONLY BE CARRIED OUT BY AUTHORISED OPERATORS.
- THE ELECTRONIC THERMOSTAT MUST BE CONNECTED TO THE HEATING ELEMENT BY QUALIFIED
PERSONNEL.
- ENSURE THAT THE POWER OF THE HEATING ELEMENT DOES NOT EXCEED THE MAXIMUM POWER
ALLOWED BY THE ELECTRONIC CONTROL.
12
1) The device must not be placed directly behind a power socket.
2) Protect the device against splashes of water.
3) Only connect the temperature controller to a suitable heating element.
4) Check that the mains voltage is the same as the one indicated in the technical
13
specifications.
5) When installed in a room with bath or shower, observe the clearances for insulation
14
class IP44 (in the UK, according to IEE wiring regulations). Also observe all local
11
regulations.
6) It must be protected by a 30mA differential device (RCD).
10
7) Supply the device with the intended voltage (see the technical specifications).
9
8) If a device is connected directly to fixed electrical installations, install a disconnect
switch in accordance with local regulations on disconnection from the mains.
9) Place the appropriate O-ring before the fastening area.
10) Remove the connection cables from the thermostat: the two Faston connectors
and the earth connector for class 1.
11) Insert the two Faston connectors in the relevant connectors of the heating element.
12) Insert the lower part of the heating element into the newly connected thermostat.
13) Align the electronic thermostat with the towel warmer. CAUTION: DO NOT TURN
THE THERMOSTAT MORE THAN 30 DEGREES IN EITHER DIRECTION.
14) Press the thermostat against the base of the heating element in order to compress
the O-ring. Tighten the screw appropriately so that the thermostat remains firmly fixed
and does not rotate around the heating element.
15) Connect the cables to the mains. (see fig. p. 66)
