ces. The cordless driver drill must only be used by
persons who have been instructed in its use and only
for the purposes for which it has been designed.
POWER SUPPLY.
Make sure the power supply is adapted to the re-
quirements shown on the information panel of the
cordless driver drill (1). Using the motor at low vol-
tage will make it operate slowly. This will reduce
performance and may cause the motor to overheat.
BATTERY AND CHARGER.
If the battery housing is damaged, do not insert it
in the charger, as there may be a risk of electric
shock. The charger and battery are designed to
work together, do not attempt to charge the battery
with any other model of charger. Do not expose
the charger to damp conditions. The charger is
designed for use with rechargeable batteries, any
other type of use may pose a fire risk or cause
electric shocks. Keep the charger away from sou-
rces of heat. Do not open the charger, incorrect
reassembly may increase the risk of fire, explosion
or electric shocks. Do not allow liquids to enter the
charger, as they may cause electric shocks. Do
not store the charger or the batteries in temperatu-
res higher than 45ºC. Never use the charger at a
different voltage to that specified by the manufac-
turer. The batteries must not be opened under any
circumstances. Do not attempt to burn batteries,
even when they are empty or broken, as they may
explode. Do not charge the batteries in air tempe-
ratures lower than 5ºC or higher than 45ºC to pre-
vent damage. Both the charger and battery may
heat up during the charging process, this is nor-
mal, and does not mean there is a problem. The
battery must be recharged when it does not produ-
ce enough energy in situations when it previously
did, do not use the battery in these conditions. Dis-
connect the charger from the mains when it does
not have a battery inserted.
BATTERY INSTALL.
To remove the battery hold the cordless driver drill
firmly by the handle, press the battery catch and
remove it (2). Insert the battery checking that the
correct polarities are used (3).
CHARGING BATTERY.
Insert the charger plug into the battery. Connect the
charger to the power supply. IIt will take 1.5 hours to
charge the battery fully at 20ºC. If the battery over-
heats as a result of direct sunlight or other factors,
the pilot light may not illuminate. In this case, leave
the battery to cool and then restart the charging pro-
cess. Disconnect the charger from the power supply.
Hold the battery firmly and pull the charger plug out.
Due to their internal chemical composition, batteries
that have never been used or left unused for long
periods of time may not produce their full output
during their first or second use. This is a temporary
phenomenon, to restore the optimal battery activity,
repeat this process three times with each of them.
FRONT LAMP.
Caution! Do not look into the light or see the sou-
rce of the light directly. Pull the switch trigger to
turn on the light. The lamp keeps on lighting while
the switch trigger is being pulled. The lamp turns
off 10 -15 seconds after releasing the trigger (4).
TORQUE SELECTION.
To select the torque, turn the selector to the desi-
red position (5). There are 17 positions indicated
on the selector. When working with small screws
on light jobs, select low torque grader. Each click
in the clockwise means to increase the produced
torque. The maximum torque position is the drilling
position, indicated with an icon of a drill bit on the
regulator. In this position the clutch mechanism is
not active, for tougher screwing jobs (6).
INSTALLING/REMOVING ACCESSORIES.
After inserting the accessory in the automatic bit
holder, tighten the holder firmly by turning it to the
right (clockwise) as seen from the front (7). If the ac-
cessory comes loose during use, turn off the cord-
less driver drill and tighten the bit holder firmly. To
remove the accessory, loosen the bit holder by tur-
ning it to the left (anti-clockwise) as seen from the
front. Check that the battery is correctly installed.
Make sure you select the correct spin direction (8).
GEAR SELECTOR.
The cordless driver drill has two gears; a short one
and another long one. To change the gear move
the selector to the desired position (9).
SWITCH.
When pressed, the bit will turn, and if not will come to
a halt. The spin speed may be controlled by varying
pressure on the trigger. If pressed gently, the bit will
turn slowly, increasing with the pressure applied.
BELT CLIP.
With the belt clip the cordless driver drill can be
hung onto a belt (10). The user has both hands
free and the cordless driver drill is always at hand.
