Use only a slightly damp cloth to clean the housing. Do not use cleaning agents containing silicone as
these can attack the plastic parts.
Maintenance

Check all visible parts and controls for signs of damage at regular intervals and make sure that they all
function correctly.
•
Do not use the product if signs of damage are found or if parts malfunction. Immediately have the product
repaired by Hilti Service.
•
After cleaning and maintenance, install all guards and protective devices and check that they are in full
working order.

7.1
Replacing bandsaw blade cover
Replace the bandsaw blade cover as soon as you find signs of damage.
1. Slacken the screws of the bandsaw blade cover.
2. Remove the damaged bandsaw blade cover and dispose of it correctly.
3. Position the new bandsaw blade cover on the bandsaw.
4. Tighten the screws of the bandsaw blade cover to 2 to 3 Nm.

Changing rubber ring
Replace the rubber ring as soon as you find signs of damage.
1. Remove the bandsaw blade → page 9.
2. Remove the rubber ring.
3. Check that the guide grooves are free of foreign matter and clean them if necessary.
4. Stretch the new rubber ring over the pulley for the bandsaw blade.
5. Ease the rubber ring into position on the pulley until it is fully flush with the guide grooves.
6. Re-install the bandsaw blade. → page 9.

Replacing bandsaw blade guide
Replace the bandsaw blade guide as soon as you find signs of damage, for example if the bandsaw
blade has notched into the guide.
1. Remove the bandsaw blade → page 9.
2. Slacken both screws of the bandsaw blade guide.
3. Remove the damaged bandsaw blade guide from the bandsaw and dispose of the bandsaw blade guide
correctly.
4. Insert the new bandsaw blade guide into the bandsaw.
5. Tighten the two screws of the bandsaw blade guide to 2 to 3 Nm.
6. Re-install the bandsaw blade. → page 9.

Replacing carrier plate
Replace the carrier plate as soon as the bandsaw blade drags or binds.
1. Remove the bandsaw blade → page 9.
2. Slacken the screw of the carrier plate.
3. Remove the damaged carrier plate from the bandsaw and dispose of the carrier plate correctly.
