Description
Left Hand Splash Guard
Right Hand Splash Guard
M4.2x25 Screw
Washer
U-Nut
White Retainer
Small Head Rivet
Large Head Rivet
Front Installation Procedure
Note:
Do not use power tools to install splash guard fasteners
1.
Remove tire.
2.
Clean and degrease body panel where splash guards will be
located.
3.
Remove existing screws at locations (A), (B), and (C).
Retain fasteners (A) and (B). See figure 1.
4.
Pull stone protector outboard to dislodge plastic retainer and
remove stone protector. Discard retainer. See figure 1.
5.
Using a 13/64" drill bit, drill a hole through the splash guard tab at
circle scribe mark, location (D). Take care not to damage the splash
guard with the drill chuck. See figure 2.
Install supplied white retainer on splash guard at location (E). See

7.
Fold down living hinge and align splash guard to vehicle. Shingle
top of splash guard under wheel flare and snap retainer into
existing hole in vehicle at location (F). See figure 4.
8.
Using a supplied small head rivet, rivet the splash guard to the
vehicle through the newly drilled hole on splash guard tab and the
existing hole in the vehicle sheet metal. The splash guard and tab
may need to be pulled rearward to align these holes. See figure 5.
9.
Form splash guard to wheel liner and re-install retained fasteners
at locations (A) and (B). Living hinge should fit into cavity in wheel
liner. See figure 4 and figure 6.
10. Place supplied washer onto supplied M4.2x25 screw and install at
location (G). See figure 6.
11. Drill a 13/64" (5.00mm) hole at location (H). Drill through the splash
guard and wheel liner. See figure 6.
12. Install supplied large head rivet at location (H).
13. Repeat for other side.
14. Guards can be cleaned with any commercially available cleaner.
NOTE: Max torque on M4.2 Screw is 3.0 N m
