9. INSTALLATION AND
CONNECTION OF THE SWITCH
Please read the following paragraphs and execute the steps in the
indicated order to avoid improper installation.
• Please place the network switch over a stable place or desktop.
• Never open the casing of the network switch even in the event
of power failure.
• The network switch may only be operated with the included
power supply and must be connected to the correct voltage
range that matches the mains voltage indicated in the feature
label of the network switch.
• Please ensure that there is good air circulation around the net-
work switch.
Switch Connection
The network switch is powered by the external power supply.
Plug-in power supply: Connect the hollow plug of the supplied plug-
in power supply to the DC IN socket on the side of the network
switch.
Connect the power supply to a power outlet. Check if the power in-
dicator lights up. When power is on, the power supply is guaranteed.
The power supply can only be connected to a mains voltage of 100-
240 V, 50-60 Hz. The power supply must always be within reach
and be easily accessible in order to disconnect the device from
the mains. The power cables must not be damaged or crushed by
any type of objects. Connect the power supply only to a properly
installed power outlet! Avoid using multiple plugs!
