Maintenance
•
• Always unplug the tool before cleaning.
• Never use water or other liquids, only a brush.
• To prevent the motor from overheating, the ventilation
slots should be cleaned regularly.
• Check that all components of the tool are securely
fastened.
• The housing should not be cracked or damaged.
• Always check that the cable is not cut or stripped.
• After prolonged use the grease in the tool head should
be changed at a
Authorized Service
Center.
Repair
Use only spare parts and accessories recommended by the
manufacturer. In case the tool does not work, the repair
should be carried out by a
Authorized
Service Center.
Change of carbons
• The carbons should be checked periodically, and always
be replaced by a
Authorized Service
Center when they have worn out.
• After they have been replaced, ask to inspect if the new
carbons can move freely in the carbon holder and ask to
turn the tool on for 5 minutes to match the contact of the
carbons and commutator.
• Only genuine replacement carbons, specifically designed
with the proper hardness and electrical resistance for each
type of motor, should be used. Out of specification
carbons can damage the motor.
• When changing carbons, always replace both carbons.
• For best results, it is recommended to use 4 1/2" inch
(115 mm) Truper cutting and /or grinding discs.
Storage
• Store the tool neatly in a dry place and protected from
dust and water.
