Grinding Wheel Replacement
• Replace the grinding wheels only with other wheels with a
speed range at least as high as the r/min NO LOAD labeled
in the tool nameplate and with a 1-1/4" axis orifice.
• The diameter of the grinding wheel shall be 10" and the
maximum thickness shall be 1 1/4".
• Double check the new grinding wheels have no cracks
and keep the sequence of both wheels.
• Remove the grinding wheel guard loosening and
removing its three screws (A).
• With the help of a tool, support firmly the grinding wheel
so that it will not move (B) and loosen the axis nut.
CAUTION
The right grinding wheel nut is loosened
by turning in a counterclockwise direction, and the left
grinding wheel nut (C) is loosened by turning in a
clockwise direction.
• Remove the outer flange (D) and the grinding wheel to
be replaced (E).
• Set the new grinding wheel into the axis (F)
and repeat conversely the steps described to
mount the wheel adequately.
• The tool accepts most of the polishing and
shining wheels in the market.
• Using any other accessory is
WARNING
not recommended and could cause severe
injuries.
Grinding Wheels Care
• With the use, the grinding wheels may crack, stretch,
have rounded edges, chip, coming out of level or get stuck
with materials. If showing cracks, the grinding wheels shall
be replaced immediately. The other conditions can be
fixed with a honing tool (available in most hardware
stores).
• The new grinding wheels may need refiling to make
them round.
