Always disconnect the plug from the mains before
carrying out any maintenance work on the machine.
Only manipulate this machine when disconnected.
Do not use the machine if the ¨open¨ and ¨close¨
switch does not work. Any electric machine that
cannot be controlled is dangerous and must be
repaired.
2.5. USE AND CARE OF THIS MACHINE
Use this shredding machine only for domestic
use such as shredding branches (up to 40mm in
diameter), leaves and other small wooden materials
prior to its composting. Do not use this machine for
shredding for shredding organic components that
are not wooden such as food and animal remains.
Pay special attention that material fed into the
machine do not contain metallic parts, stones,
bottles, cans and other strange bodies.
Do not tilt the machine when the machine is
in use.
Maintain face and body at a sufficient distance from
the hopper. Avoid that your hands and other parts of
your body or clothing get tangled in the hopper or the
ejecting mouth or that any of these are too close to
moving parts. Maintain well clear of the ejecting area.
Do not introduce your hands in the hopper or
the ejecting area when the machine is running.
Remember that once the machine has been stopped,
the cutting elements need a few instants before they
fully stop.
Should the machine start making any abnormal
noises or to vibrate in excess, disconnect
immediately. Unplug the machine from the mains
and check the cause of the problem. If any internal
damage has been caused, repair it.
Feed the machine without climbing onto anything.
You should always feed the machine on the same
height level as that of the machine.
Disconnect the machine before removing or replacing
the collecting bag.
Use this machine and its accessories in accordance
to the instruction manual and taking into account
the working conditions and the job at hand. The
use of this machine for jobs not in accordance to the
machine will cause dangerous situations.
The manufacturer will not be responsible of the
damages caused due to an incorrect use of the
machine.
Do not overstretch the machine. Use this machine
in a proper way and only for the jobs stated in
this manual. The use of the machine for its correct
application will allow the machine to work better and
in a sure way.
If you take a long pause, disconnect the machine from
the mains.
Service the machine. Check the security devices
and ensure that these are not damaged or in a bad
state that could imply that the machine does not
work in adequate manner. Ensure that the safety
devices are all installed and in a correct manner.
Always repair the machine prior to use, should the
machine be damaged. Many accidents occur due to
poor maintenance of the machine.
Ensure that there is no material in the hopper prior to
using the machine.
Maintain the handles dry and clean. Handles that are
greasy or oily are slippery and can cause a loss of
control of the machine.
