Congratulations on purchasing your new
Stanley 2M Lithium-Ion LED Spotlight
instructions carefully before using your new spotlight.
READING THE BATTERY/CHARGE STATUS LED INDICATOR
The battery and charging status LED indicator is located on the back of the unit. It lights or flashes in three colors to indicate
the following:
When charging:
Green: Battery is in a fully charged state.
Orange (flashing): Battery is in a partially charged state.
Red (flashing): Battery needs to be recharged.
Green & Red (flashing alternately): The battery of the unit is overheated due to extensive use or recharging. The charging
process will stop at this stage and will automatically resume after a cool down period.
When operating:
Green: Battery is operating at full voltage.
Orange: Battery is operating at partial voltage.
Red: Battery is operating at low voltage, and should be recharged.
Red (flashing): Battery is operating at extremely low voltage. The built-in low voltage protection has activated and the unit will
automatically shut down within a few minutes. The unit must be recharged immediately.
Green & Red (flashing alternately): The battery of the unit is overheated due to extensive use or recharging or the ambient
temperature has dropped below -20°C. Operation will stop at this stage.
CHARGING/RECHARGING THE SPOTLIGHT
This unit is shipped in a partially charged state. Charge unit after purchase and BEFORE first use until the battery/charge status
LED indicator lights green.
Recharge after each use until the battery/charge status LED indicator lights green.
IMPORTANT: When the unit is not in use, we recommend that the battery is charged at least every 3 to 6 months.
CAUTION: TO REDUCE THE RISK OF INJURY OR PROPERTY DAMAGE:
• Never place the light face down on any surface when charging.
• Failure to keep the battery charged will cause permanent damage and result in poor performance.
Charging/recharging using the 12V DC/USB Charging Adapter
1. Make sure the spotlight is off.
2. I nsert the micro-USB plug of the USB charging cable into the micro-USB charging port on the back of the spotlight.
3. I nsert the regular USB plug of the USB charging cable into the 12V DC/USB charging adapter.
4. Insert the 12 volt DC/USB charging adapter into the 12 volt DC accessory outlet of a vehicle or other functioning 12 volt DC
power source. The LED indicator on the 12V DC/USB charging adapter will light green when it is properly plugged into the
12 volt DC power source. The battery/charge status LED indicator will light or flash in one of three colors (as described in the
"Reading the Battery/Charge Status LED Indicator" section) to indicate the charging status.
Note:
Some vehicles require that the ignition be switched to the accessory position in order to power the accessory outlet.
5. Charge until the battery/charge status LED indicator lights green.
6. When charging is complete, first unplug the 12V DC/USB charging adapter from the 12 volt DC power source, then
disconnect the USB charging cable from the adapter and the spotlight. Store the adapter and cable in a safe place.
Charging/recharging using the 120V AC/USB Charging Adapter (optional accessory)
1. Make sure the spotlight is off.
2. I nsert the micro-USB plug of the USB charging cable into the micro-USB charging port on the back of the spotlight.
3. I nsert the regular USB plug of the USB charging cable into the 120V AC/USB charging adapter.
4. Plug the 120V AC/USB charging adapter into a (powered) standard North American 120 volt 60Hz outlet. The battery/charge
status LED indicator will light or flash in one of three colors (as described in the "Reading the Battery/Charge Status LED
Indicator" section) to indicate the charging status.
5. Charge up to 5 hours or until the battery/charge status LED indicator lights green.
6. When charging is complete, first unplug the 120V AC/USB charging adapter from the power source, then disconnect the
USB charging cable from the adapter and the spotlight. Store the adapter and cable in a safe place.
Charging/recharging using the USB charging cable and a device with a USB power port (not supplied)
1. Make sure the spotlight is off.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
The 5-Position On/Off Trigger turns the unit on and off, and is also used to choose the following modes:
FULL – all LEDs;
HIGH – Main Beam LED in its high (brightest) setting;
LOW – Main Beam LED in its low (dimmest) setting; or
HALO – 8 Area LED lights.
Operating the spotlight cordless
To use the spotlight in cordless mode, disconnect the Charging Adapter after fully charging the unit. Then select the desired
light mode, as follows:
To turn the spotlight on and use the Main Beam LED and 8
area lights at once
To use the Main Beam LED alone in its brightest setting
To use the Main Beam LED alone in its dimmer setting
To switch the spotlight to HALO mode, using just the 8 area
LED lights
To turn the spotlight off
Notes:
The battery/charge status LED indicator will light in one of three colors (as described in the "Reading the Battery/Charge Status LED Indicator" section)
to indicate the battery status.
If the spotlight's internal lithium-ion battery level is too low (the battery/charge status LED indicator flashes red), the built-in low voltage protection
may activate after a short period of operation, then the unit will automatically shut down. This is a special feature to protect the unit's internal lithium-
ion battery from damage. Recharge the battery before continuing use.
If the spotlight's internal lithium-ion battery becomes too hot or too cold, it may automatically operate in LOW (Main Beam LED alone in its dimmer setting)
even when HIGH or FULL mode is selected. This is a special feature to protect the unit's internal lithium-ion battery from overheating or freezing up.
Operating the unit corded
Attach the USB charging cable to either the 12V DC/USB charging adapter or the 120V AC/USB charging adapter as described in
the "Charging/Recharging" section. Operate normally the spotlight as outlined in the previous section.
IMPORTANT: The spotlight will operate while either charging adapter is attached, but will continue to draw power from the
unit's Lithium-Ion battery. This may cause the low voltage protection to activate and shut the spotlight down. Manufacturer
recommends only operating the unit using corded for a short period of time.
Using the Swing-up Stand
Lift the Swing-up Stand up, invert the unit and set it upon a flat, stable surface for hands-free operation.
OPERATING THE 12 VOLT DC/USB CHARGING ADAPTER'S USB POWER PORT
The 12V DC/USB charging adapter can be used to power and/or recharge USB-power electronic devices. Plug the 12V DC/USB
charging adapter into a vehicle's 12 volt DC accessory outlet or other functioning 12 volt DC power source. The LED indicator on
the 12V DC/USB charging adapter will light green to indicate that it is properly connected. Then simply plug the USB device into
the USB outlet and operate normally.
Note:
Some vehicles require that the ignition be switched to the accessory outlet position in order to power the accessory outlet
OPERATING THE 120 VOLT AC/USB CHARGING ADAPTER'S USB PORT (OPTIONAL ACCESSORY)
Plug the 120 volt AC/USB charging adapter into a (powered) standard North American 120 volt 60Hz outlet. Then simply plug
the USB device into the USB outlet and operate normally.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
All batteries lose energy from self-discharge over time and more rapidly at higher temperatures. When the unit is not in use,
we recommend that the battery is charged at least every 3 to 6 months.
Never submerge the unit in water. If the unit gets dirty, gently clean the outer surfaces of the spotlight unit with a soft cloth
moistened with a mild solution of water and detergent.
