Special safety instructions
For outdoor use in dry weather only. Do not
use the grass trimmer if the grass is wet or
damp following rain or dew.
Always use ear protectors, protective
goggles, overalls and safety footwear when
using the grass trimmer.
Do not allow other people or animals to
come within a radius of 15 metres when in
use.
Remember that the noise of the grass
trimmer can prevent you from hearing
warnings or other sounds. Be aware of your
surroundings while using the grass trimmer.
Always remove the battery before you adjust,
maintain or store the grass trimmer.
Never put the grass trimmer down before
it has completely stopped running. The
trimmer head will continue to run a short
time after the grass trimmer has been
switched off .
A sturdy pair of work gloves can reduce
vibrations in your hands.
Remove all objects from the grass to be cut
before starting to avoid them being thrown
up by the trimmer line.
To prolong the service life of the trimmer
head, avoid hitting stones and similar
objects.
Keep hands and fi ngers well away from the
trimmer head and trimmer line while the
trimmer is in operation.
Never use the grass trimmer if the on/off
button or safety button is faulty.
Never use the grass trimmer without the
trimmer guard fi tted.
Safety instructions for battery and
charger
Do not try to charge other batteries using
the charger even if they have the same
specifi cations as the battery provided.
Do not try to charge the batteries using a
diff erent charger even if it has the same
specifi cations as the charger provided.
Protect the charger's and the battery's
terminals when the parts are not in use. If
they come into contact with liquids, metal
parts or other conductive materials, the
charger or battery may short circuit.
Never use the charger if the battery, charger
or cord is damaged.
The battery must only be charged indoors at
an ambient temperature of 5-40 °C.
The battery and charger may get hot during
charging. This is completely normal.
Use only batteries and chargers that
are designed for this machine.
Batteries
Must not be opened under any
circumstances.
Must not be stored in places where the
temperature may exceed 40 °C.
May only be charged at an ambient
temperature of between 4 °C and 40 °C.
Batteries must be disposed of in
accordance with the applicable
regulations.
Make sure they cannot be short-circuited.
If a connection is created between the
positive (+) and the negative (-) pole,
directly or due to accidental contact with
metal objects, the battery will short-
circuit. The result will be a very high
current, which generates heat and can
