Installation
Extract the appliance and place it on a flat and stable surface, which is not
an obstacle to the safety of people; leave a free space of at least 10 cm at
the rear, in order to ensure good air circulation. Refer to the indications in
the previous chap. 2 for further installation requirements.
Proceed to connect the sources and speakers as described in the previous
chapter, check that the power switch is in the extracted position (off), then
connect the power plug. Also note the following information:
•
Pay particular attention to respecting the polarity of the loudspeakers,
which must be consistent with each other: the connection of a pair of
loudspeakers with inverted polarity does not in itself constitute a situa-
tion of electrical or functional risk, but significantly worsens the perfor-
mance of the reproduction, attenuating the low tones and distorting the
acoustic image, nullifying the stereo effect.
•
It is possible to connect several speakers to each of the relative pairs of
terminals on the rear panel, as long as they are interconnected with a
configuration (in series or in parallel) that guarantees a total impedan-
ce between 4 and 8 ohms: since the power required by the amplifier
is proportional to the number of speakers connected, it is advisable to
connect only one 4 or 8 ohm speaker to each output.
•
Avoid connecting speakers with excessive musical power, as the output
signal may be attenuated and distorted even at low volume: this condi-
tion also produces inappropriate overheating.
•
To connect the speakers, push the lever located below each access,
then insert a strip of stripped cable approximately 2-3 cm into the hole
above, finally release the lever and check the correct fastening of the
inserted cables; alternatively the speaker cables can be terminated
with standard 4 mm banana connectors, which are easily inserted into
the holes placed on the top of the terminals.
•
When using a USB flash drive with a capacity greater than 4 GB, the
complete reading of the content is not guaranteed. Use pendrive that is
not excessively large.
•
To connect to the analog sources input, use normal stereo cables
equipped with RCA connectors at the ends, trying to limit the length
