When illuminating heat-sensitive or flammable light-absorbing objects, pay
particular attention to selecting the light guide spacing and intensity so that
no thermal damage occurs to the object. Since light-absorbing materials have
the physical property of converting incident light into heat, damage can
occur to heat-sensitive or flammable light-absorbing materials.
•
All light guide outputs must always be at a safe distance - at least 10 cm - from
heat-sensitive or flammable light-absorbing materials when the light source is
switched on (avoid possible fire hazard).
•
Reduce the brightness and duration of illumination of biological tissue to
avoid unnecessary exposure of biological tissue to visible light illumination.
•
Safe disconnection from the power supply is only achieved by pulling out the
plug.
•
Do not open or disassemble the device. Refrain from making technical
modifications to the device.
•
Allow the light guide to cool down before replacing it. We recommend that
you switch off the light source for about five minutes before replacing the
light guide.
