Pressure relief valve PRV
The pressure relief valve (PRV) is an automatic safety device with limited flow that is installed
in the pressure regulator to protect connected devices against inadmissible high pressures. If
there is inadmissible high pressure at the outlet side, for example due to high temperatures,
the PRV opens and relieves the excess pressure through the breather. When the pressure
falls, the PRV closes again automatically. A connection to the open air must be created if a
pressure regulator with PRV is to be operated in gas bottle locker or in gas cylinder case.
"PRV" is marked on the type label of the pressure regulator.

FUNCTION DESCRIPTION

• Automatic changeover valve are used in two cylinder systems
• Automatic changeover to the reserve gas cylinder as soon as the gas cylinder on the
operating side is empty.
• The gas cylinder can be replaced without interrupting operation.
• Only alternating withdrawal is possible.
• Display of which side the gas is supplied from.
• The non-return valve installed in the inlet nozzle prevents unintentional gas leakage when
changing the cylinder.
• Even gas supply through the optimum use of the gas cylinder content.
• Europe-wide use through the use of country-specific high-pressure hose assemblies (not
included in the delivery).
• By default, the version with outlet connector RVS 10 is fitted with an adapter to connect
8 mm piping.
• Test device for the leak testing of LPG systems without removing the product.

Connections could become leaky, if they are contaminated or corrupted
Therefore, the connections must regularly be checked for leak-tightness.
Swap the product where appropriate.
Keep all connections free from contamination, even small amounts of dirt can cause
connections to leak.
