Use
Always secure the item to be worked with
clamps or similar. Never hold the workpiece
in place by hand.
Adjust bevel angle, parallel guide and
cutting depth if necessary (see Preparation
and adjustment).
Check that the saw is correctly set up and
that all handles and screws are correctly
tightened before starting to saw.
Place the front of the baseplate on the
workpiece. Press the safety switch (11)
and depress the on/off button (12) on the
handle (13). Allow the saw to reach full
speed before starting to cut.
Cut with the motor section of the saw on
the same side as the part of the workpiece
that is not being sawn off .
Hold the saw by both handles (4 and 13)
and cut in a straight line.
The blade guard (2) opens automatically
when the blade comes into contact with the
workpiece.
Do not try to force the saw to the side.
Release the power switch immediately if
the blade becomes stuck in the workpiece.
If this does happen, the saw can be thrown
back violently towards the operator.
Check that the blade guard closes when the
saw is lifted off the workpiece.

Replacing the blade

The blade must be perpendicular to the
baseplate.
Loosen the depth adjustment knob and lift
up the upper part of the saw as far as it will
go.
Use the locking spanner (18) to hold the
outer collar (20) in place and remove the
locking nut (18) using the ring spanner (17).
Unscrew the locking nut and remove the
outer collar.
Use the knob to open the blade guard (2)
and remove the blade.
Clean any fi lings and sawdust from the
spindle and the collars.
Fit the new blade, the outer collar and the
locking nut. Check that the blade's direction
of rotation is the same as the motor's.
Release the blade guard.
Check that the blade rotates properly before
using the saw.
Do not dispose of used blades in your
domestic refuse. Dispose of them correctly
in accordance with local legislation.

Cleaning and maintenance

Wipe the saw using a well-wrung cloth as
required, and always keep the surface and
vent holes free of dirt.
Never use corrosive or abrasive cleaning
agents, as they may attack the plastic parts
of the saw.
