− Only allow supervised children to change the batteries.
− Store the batteries in a place out of the reach of children.
− Consult a physician immediately if a battery is swallowed.

Electrolyte (battery fluid) can leak from the batteries in case of mal-
function or damage and can cause burns if touched.
− Do not touch leaky batteries.
− Avoid coming into contact with leaked electrolyte.
− If you come into contact with leaked electrolyte, rinse the area
of contact immediately with clean water.
− Consult a physician immediately if leaked electrolyte comes
into contact with your eyes.

If discharged batteries are left in a sewing machine for a long time,
electrolyte may leak out and damage the machine.
− Remove discharged batteries from the sewing machine and
dispose of them according to the applicable statutory regula-
tions.
