Special warnings
To use the device safely, observe the following indications:
•
Do not use the charger in conditions of very high supply voltage.
•
Do not try to open the charger case. Call an authorized service for diagnosis.
•
Use only valid batteries. The use of non-functional, damaged, worn, excessively discharged
batteries can lead to irreparable failure of the charger.
•
Use the charger only after checking the connection and charging rules provided by the battery
manufacturer and the compatibility between the battery and the charger. Incorrect operation
can endanger the battery, the charger and your safety.
•
Do not short-circuit the wires/terminals. The pliers must be tight on the terminals. Do not
simultaneously touch both battery terminals or the wires connected to them.
•
Avoid spilling or boiling excess electrolytic liquid. The electrolyte is corrosive to metal and
represents a short-circuit hazard.
•
Check the charging status regularly. If you suspect an anomaly or a charging time longer than 12
hours, disconnect and check the battery parameters at an authorized service. A damaged battery
can no longer be charged to 100%.
General characteristics
The PNI M200 rectifier charger provides intelligent 3-stage charging for 12V lead-acid and lead-gel
batteries with reduced capacities, namely, a maximum of 20 Amps. In general, these accumulators
are used either in the motorcycle field, or for powering electronic equipment such as UPS, burglary
systems or for powering small consumers.
PNI M200 has a high degree of safety, being equipped with protections for: reverse connection
polarity, short circuit, overvoltage during charging.
Instructions for use
1. Connect the RED pliers to the (+) PLUS terminal and the BLACK pliers to the (-) MINUS terminal.
2. Connect the charger to the 230 VAC power source.
3. The indicator LED lights up red, confirming the start of the charging stage.
4. After the charging is complete, the LED turns green and the charger goes into maintenance mode
(Float).
5. Disconnect the charger first from the 230 VAC power source and then from the battery, removing
the black clips and the red clips.
