Fixing

Installation precautions:

Use only the supplied 2 m cable. Do not extend it. On the other hand, it can be shortened, as there is
no minimum size, and can be used to protect another sliding window (see next page).
Do not pinch the wire.
Do not attach the cable end to anything else other than the terminal supplied with this detector.
Do not install the detector (a) on a metal part or in a confined area.
Do not use countersunk screws to fix the terminal and the magnet.
Check with the window or sliding window manufacturer that drilling it will not void the ten-year warranty.
Installation for protecting 1 door or 1 window:
Terminal (c) :
Fix the terminal on the fixed part (frame) of
the door or window to be protected, either
horizontally, or vertically, opposite the hinges.
Make sure the screws of the terminal are facing
up at the ceiling for a horizontal installation, or
facing towards the wall for a vertical installation.
You must use the supplied spacers (e) which
must be placed under the terminal (c) and under
the magnet (d) for routing the cable easily.
Magnet (d) :
Fix the magnet on the movable part of the door or window to be protected, perfectly aligned with the
terminal, by placing the small notch towards the terminal. Keep the maximum spacing distance between
the terminal and the magnet as shown below:

Detector (a) :
For a good propagation of radio waves, fix the detector at least
10 cm from the metal part.
Refit the detector cover and screw it.
Cut off the wire at the desired length making sure it is not tight or
pinched.
Unscrew the terminal bracket to connect the wire more easily (no
polarity).
Strip the 2 strands of the wire and connect them to the
2 terminals at the ends.
Place the terminal cover on the terminal making sure that the
wire comes out through the notch and that it is not pinched.
Screw the terminal and its cover; do not use countersunk screws.
If the screws and anchors provided are not suitable for the
material of the wall, obtain the correct type of screws and
anchors. Failure to do this may result in the product falling off the wall.
Installation for protecting 2 sliding windows:
Reminder: a terminal/magnet reference sold separately is available for protecting 2 sliding windows, white (ref.
1875105) or brown magnet (ref. 1875104).
You must not exceed the maximum cable length of 2 m.
(cable j + cable k = 2 m maxi).
