H. Folding and Unfolding the Wheelchair (Continued)
4. With a folding backrest, the backrest canes can be folded down by pushing the canes
forward while pushing the latch levers (Fig. 6:A).

5. Once the chair is folded, lift and stow the wheelchair by grasping the center of both seat
frames so it remains balanced in your hands and both sides of the chair can be managed
without it unfolding.
How to Unfold Your Wheelchair
1. If the back canes are folded down, lift up until you hear the latch levers click into place.
2. Pull both sides of the chair apart and push down on the extension cross brace pad (Fig. 7:A)
to ensure the cross braces are in place.
