CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Machine cleaning
Note: before cleaning the appliance, unplug it and WAIT for it to regulate its temperature.
To clean the internal parts of this coffee maker, you may choose to repeat the brewing
procedures several times with no coffee in the filters and brush the inside of the filter basket with
a soft bristle brush from time to time.
CAUTION: NEVER use a metal bristle brush or steel wool.
Clean the case with a soft, damp cloth
The water tank, drip tray and filters can be washed with warm (not hot) water.
DO NOT IMMERSE this coffee maker and its power cord in water under any circumstances.
DESCALING
Choose the softener or scaler of your choice.
1. Fill the water tank with 500 ml of water (about half of the total capacity)
2. Pour 3 grams of scale remover into the water tank and wait 5 minutes for it to dissolve.
3. Once dissolved, close the lid of the tank, plug in the coffee maker and press the three buttons
at the same time for more than 5 seconds. This will activate the descaling mode and will stop
automatically when finished.
4. Wait 15 minutes and pour water into the water tank, then activate the descaling mode
explained in point 3.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I DESCALE THIS COFFEE MAKER?
If you use soft or filtered water, you must descale every 2000 brew cycles
If you use hard or tap water, you must descale every 1000 brew cycles.
