Filling, lighting and refilling the burner
•
Open the burner by pulling the slide.
•
Fill the container with bio-ethanol, not more than 2/3 parts of each burner
capacity.
•
Use a funnel for filling.
•
Spilled ethanol must be removed with an absorbent tissue and the affected
area cleaned with water to avoid ignition outside the burner container.
•
Long lighters or long matches are ideal when lighting bio-ethanol.
Otherwise there is a risk of deflagration. Under no circumstances throw
used matches into the burner.
•
If the flame does not ignite, please repeat the ignition process until the
flame burns steadily.
•
After the flame has gone out, wait at least 30 minutes before restarting
the fireplace. Otherwise there is a risk of explosion.
•
The flame glows slowly and small at first. It can take up to 15 minutes to
reach the optimal temperature and flame height.
CAUTION
Risk of fire! When lighting, always make sure that the fireplace
is placed on a heat-resistant and fireproof surface or ceramic
tile, not directly on a carpet!
CAUTION
Risk of fire! The fuel must be kept at a safe distance (at least
1 m) from the fireplace. Do not place ethanol fuel in front of the
fireplace. Note that the ethanol sometimes burns bluish and is
difficult to see. Therefore, always make sure that the burner is
switched off and cold before adding ethanol.
Note: The fuel should be stored at room temperature to facilitate its
ignition.
