TESTING AND USAGE
• Always test the CO detector with the test mode after installation
and then once a week. Replace the CO alarm immediately if the
test fails.
• Replace the battery immediately when the CO alarm indicates that
the battery is low. (up to 3 years of battery life) (See LED function
table)
• Never use water, cleaning agents or solvents to clean the CO
detector as this may damage the device.
• If the CO detector is damaged, replace it immediately.
• The CO alarm will not warn residents with a hearing impairment. It is
recommended to install special CO detectors to warn people with
hearing difficulties.
• Use only a CR123A 3.0V lithium battery. Other batteries can cause
unreliable operation.
• When the battery is removed, the CO alarm will no longer work.
• Press the test button to check the operation after replacing the
battery.
If you suspect that there is a CO leak, open the doors
and windows to ventilate. If possible, switch off all fuel-driven
devices, leave the premises and call professional help.
