Recommendations and tips for working with the food processor
Always place a container under the outlet of the shredder or ice cream maker into which the processed food can fall.
In the case of the shredder and ice cream maker, insert food ingredients only through the inlet, pushing them with the pusher. Do
not use fi ngers, hands or cutlery for pushing food ingredients. They can be caught by the rotating parts of the appliance and lead
to damage to the appliance, as well as injuries.
The ingredients should be cut into small portions before placing them in the inlet of the shredder or ice cream maker.
Do not apply excessive pressure on the pusher. This can damage the appliance.
Do not place frozen food products in the shredder.
It is recommended that the cleaned and dried shredder inserts be stored in the container with lid which comes with the product.
This will prevent disorder and reduce the risk of injury caused by sharp edges of the inserts.
The squeezer container has a marker for the maximum volume of squeezed juice. Stop working and pour the juice out of the
container if the juice level approaches the MAX marker. The spout of the container facilitates pouring the juice out, preventing
excessive spillage of juice during squeezing.
Before squeezing, the citrus fruit should be washed in lukewarm water and then cut in half. Place the fruit halves with the pulp
facing downwards and press them gently on the squeezer. Do not use excessive force. The fruit half should be rotated and moved
to the left and right, so that the whole pulp comes into contact with the squeezer. The squeezer strainer will stop the seeds and
the fruit pulp.
Do not squeeze frozen fruit.
Fruit should be frozen for 6 - 12 hours before being placed in the ice cream maker. Then leave to defrost at room temperature until
softened suffi ciently to be crushed. This usually takes about 15 minutes for loose, small fruit. Cut the fruit into small pieces and
place them in the inlet of the ice cream maker.
Ice cream coming out of the ice cream maker outlet should have the consistency of a sorbet.
MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
CAUTION! Never immerse the drive housing in water or other liquids. The drive housing must also never be exposed to jets of
water or other liquids. Doing so may result in electric shock.
Other parts and accessories can be washed under running water or in dishwashers. The temperature of water during washing
must not exceed 60
C. This should be taken into account when selecting the dishwasher programme. When using a dishwasher,
O
expect faster matting of plastic surfaces. Washing parts with elastic seals in the dishwasher (mill base and blender cup) can lead
to faster wear of the seals. It is recommended to clean these parts under running water.
Care must be taken to avoid injury when manually cleaning parts with sharp edges. Brushes and protective gloves are recommended.
Turn the appliance off after fi nishing work, wait for the rotating parts to stop completely, unplug the power cord from the socket,
disassemble the device, empty its contents, and proceed with maintenance.
Parts of the appliance which have been in contact with food should be cleaned immediately after use. Dried food residues can clog
the stirrers and blades, which can lead to a loss of performance of the appliance or even its damage. If this happens, immerse
these parts which were described as immersible in warm water with dishwashing liquid and leave it to soak, then clean with a soft
sponge or a brush and water with dishwashing liquid. Clean the appliance housing and the outer surfaces of the cup with a soft
cloth dampened with a water and mild detergent solution. Wipe dry. Do not use abrasive cleaning agents.
CAUTION! Due to the sharp edges of the blades, avoid hand contact with the blades during cleaning. The blades can cut both skin
and kitchen gloves made of synthetic material. The blades should be washed with a brush or sponge.
Make sure all parts are cleaned and dried before connecting the appliance to the power supply. Store the product in dry, shaded
conditions. Protect the storage place from unauthorised access, especially by children. It is recommended to store the product
in the unit packaging provided with the product. The drive housing has a drawer which can be used to store small accessories of
the food processor.
