11.- BATTERY (CAP, RI): setting for correct battery operation, DIP-switches. More details of this setting can
be found in the BATTERY INSTALLATION AND CONFIGURATION section.
12.- 230 V power input.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
INSTALLATION LOCATION
- In order to keep the equipment in optimal condition and to extend its service life, it is recommended that
the equipment be installed in a place that meets the following requirements:
- Room temperature: -40 to +85 ºC (when in storage) and -5 to +45 ºC (when in operation).
- Relative humidity: 80 % max.
- Avoid direct sunlight.
- Avoid impact, especially while in operation.
- Designed to be installed in a 19" rack with IP30 degree of protection. The device offers IP20 protection.
- To install the device in the rack, guide rails must be used. These must be installed in such a way that
they do not cover the ventilation slots on the sides of the equipment, as this could damage the
equipment.
- The equipment must have 8 cm of free space on each side to ensure adequate ventilation.
- The equipment must be powered by a connector with a protective ground connection.
- Maintenance of the device must be provided by the manufacturer or a third party authorized by the
manufacturer.
- Do not disassemble the equipment, it may have charged components. Touching internal components
poses a high risk of electric shock or burns to the skin.

BATTERY CAPACITY

- This equipment has a 16 A current provided by the power supply distributed between the AUX outputs
and the battery charging process. The battery capacity is therefore limited by the current of the AUX
outputs as follows:
Maximum current provided to the
AUX outputs
Maximum battery capacity
- The ZSA-200PS power supply supports batteries up to 270 Ah capacity.
OUT AND AUX OUTPUTS
- Connect the amplifiers of the emergency evacuation system to the OUT outputs. At these outputs:
- When mains power is available, the OUT outputs of the ZSA-200PS will not supply current. The AUX
outputs will supply current at all times.
- When there is no mains power, the OUT outputs of the ZSA-200PS power supply will supply current
from the batteries. If there is a fire alarm, the current supplied to the OUT outputs will be greater to
emergency evacuation system amplifiers, which is necessary for transmitting voice messages and
alarm signals in fire zones.
- The other components of the emergency evacuation system (controllers, routers, call stations, etc.), which
require relatively little current on a continual basis, do not need to be connected to the mains. Rather,
connect them to the AUX outputs, which will provide uninterrupted power.
