Besides programming by means of the TPE, the latest generation modules are equipped with the new
OSD (On Screen Display) function that simplifi es the operator's programming by answering the same
TPE menus (see photo below) on display (TV, fi eld measurer, etc.).
Main Menu
To use this new functionality, the two following conditions have to occur:
1. The TPE programmer's fi rmware will have to be updated to the 0.07 or later version, available also
from our web site.
2. The hardware version of the digital receiver module has to be equal or higher than the REL. 4.
After the TPE fi rmware update, the new "OSD NAVIGATION" function will be available in the main
menu. With this function, it will be possible to directly visualize the entire programming menu on the
display (TV, fi eld measurer, etc.).
After the TPE programmer is updated, it will be possible to use this functionality by following the
following pathway:
Main LOGO --> Headend Setup --> OSD Navigation
(for further information, refer to the user's manual of the TPE programmer).
Each item of the new OSD programming menu will be properly discussed (HELP) so that the setting
operations of the parameters will go faster.
After programming, the OSD menu will disappear after 2 minutes of inactivity from the operator.
