7.7. Measurement of diodes
1. Turn the knob switch to
"FUNC." to switch to the diode function
2. Connect the red meter probe to the anode of the
diode to be measured and the black meter probe to
the cathode of the diode to be measured, the reading
on the display will be an approximation of the diode's
forward voltage drop. If the polarity of the measured
lead is opposite to the diode polarity, the reading on
the display will be "OL".
Warning
To prevent possible electric shock, fire or personal injury,
disconnect the power to the circuit to be measured and fully
discharge all high voltage capacitors before measuring diodes
or connectivity.
If the diode under measurement is open or the polarity is
connected inversely, the meter will display "OL".
After completing all measurement operations, disconnect the
meter probes from the circuit measured.

7.8. Measurement of capacitance

1. Turn the knob switch to the
"FUNC." to switch to the capacitance measurement
function.
2. Connect the meter probes to both ends of the
capacitor to be measured.
3. After the reading is stable, read the measurement
result from the display.
