Device use

STARTING THE ENGINE

1. Make sure that the machine has been refuelled and that engine oil has
been topped up.
2. Block the wheel by pulling the parking brake lever [4] backwards. The
force to be used to move the lever can be adjusted by turning the tip of the
lever. Turning to the left increases the force required to apply the brake.
3. Make sure the throttle lever [1] is in the "SLOW" position (idle).
4. Move the fuel supply valve [B] to ON.
5. If engine is cold, move choke lever [C] to the closed (CHOKE) position.
6. Push the engine ON/OFF switch [I] to ON.
7. Pushing the machine handle downwards, raise the cutting wheel about
10 cm from the ground and hold it there.
The next step may cause the cutting wheel to rotate. Make sure that
bystanders are at a safe distance.
To prevent damage to the starter, do not let go of the cord after you
pull it. Make it possible for the cord to return in a smooth movement,
holding the cord handle in your hand.
8. Press the safety lever [3] against the handle [2] and, holding it with one
hand, pull the starter cord [A] with the other hand until it is tight, then pull
on it energetically. The safety lever [3] must be kept pressed against the
