Cleaning the air filter
This air filter (situated behind the grid at the back side of the appliance) guarantees fresh
air during cleaning. It should be replaced approximately every 3 months depending on
the operating frequency.
1.
Open the exhaust air grill (this is at the rear of the cyclone vacuum cleaner.)
2.
The exhaust air filter is visible when the grill has been opened.
3.
Rinse the filter under cold running water and allow it to dry completely.
Caution! Only ever clean the filter with clean water and do not use soap or
detergent. These would destroy the filter.
4.
Put the exhaust air filter back into place (or replace with a new one) and place in
the grill.
5.
Close the exhaust air filter grill.
Note: After a certain time of use the filters will be damaged or impossible to get back in
their initial shape. In such case, contact the nearest customer service to get new filters.
Cleaning the dust collector
The unit has the over-heating protection valve : when the dust container is full, the HEPA
filter and the air outlet are blocked. The protection valve will open automatically to avoid
any over-heating.
Empty the dust container after each use or when full.
1.
Press the release button of the dust container and pull the dust container out.
2.
Hold the dust collector over a dustbin, press the unlocking button at the bottom
of the dust collector to open the lower cover of the dust container.
3.
Close the dust collector and put the dust collector back in the appliance until it
locks in place.
4.
Clean the inside of the dust collector and the lid with a damp cloth or sponge.
5.
Close the lid. Put the dust collector back in the appliance until it locks in place.
6.
but make sure these parts are totally dry before using the appliance again.
Cleaning the HEPA filter
1.
Press the release button of the dust container and pull the dust container out.
2.
Turn the dust container cover carefully until it is released and you access the HEPA
filter.
3.
Now rinse the HEPA filter under running water and allow it to dry completely.
Caution! Only ever clean the filter with clean water and do not use soap or
detergent. These would destroy the filter.
4.
Place the HEPA filter back in the HEPA cover (or replace with a new one) and fit it
into the dust container. Then fit the dust container back into position in the
cyclone dust container until it snaps into place.
Cleaning the other parts of the vacuum cleaner
The casing, dust collecting chamber and filter chambers of the vacuum cleaner can be
wiped with a damp cloth if required. No liquid must enter the vacuum cleaner in the
process. Never use strong cleaning substance (scouring liquids, thinners), since these will
corrode the plastic surface.
Remove the hair and fluff that may gather on the running wheels of the floor brush.
