This manual provides all the detailed information required for
the knowledge and correct use of the equipment. It must be
read carefully at the time of purchase and consulted if there are
any doubts regarding its use or when maintenance is required.
The manufacturer reserves the right to make any modifications

WARNINGS
Please read this manual carefully before beginning installation
and carry out the procedures as specified by the manufacturer.
This installation manual is only intended for professional
personnel.
Anything not expressly included in these instructions is
prohibited.
In particular, your attention should be drawn towards the fol-
lowing warning:
• Disconnect power before making any electrical connections.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION AND INTENDED USE
DART ADJUSTABLE SYNC photocells are wall-mounted pho-
tocells with a range of up to 20 metres under optimal condi-
tions. Coding of the transmitted signal, to be set at the time
of installation, makes it possible to install 2 pairs of the same
model with no interference between them.
The rotation mechanism of the board allows the item to be
used in all cases where there is no option to install photocells
in the front position or at the same height (Fig. 9).

INSTALLATION AND ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
Operation with facing transmitter and receiver. Double safety
relay.
• Proceed as shown in Figure 3-4.
• Depending on the cable routing position, drill holes in the
base in the prearranged area (see Fig. 5).
• Proceed as shown in Figure 6 using rawlplugs (Ø max 5 mm)
and corresponding screws (not included).
• Connect the cables from the control unit to the terminals us-
ing the following diagram.
TX Connections CN1 (Fig. 14)
1 – 12/24 V ac-dc.
2 – 0V.
RX Connections CN2 (Fig. 19)
1 – 12/24 V ac-dc.
2 – 0V.
3 – NC/NO contact.
4 – NC/NO contact.
• Apply silicone to seal the cable entry hole (Fig. 6).
• Before closing the photocell, check the alignment between
the receiver (RX photocell) and the transmitter (TX photocell).
The steady light of LED1 on the receiver (red light) confirms
alignment (Fig. 7).
• Clip the cover back on the base by first resting the top and
pressing downwards (see Fig. 8).
Photocell synchronisation (Coding selection "A" and "B")
• In the event of special installations, the photocell has two
operating channels coded "A" and "B" which gives the user
the option of installing 2 pairs of SYNC version photocells
with no interference between them.
24V ac/dc
The item is supplied with factory settings coded "A": Dip-
35mA
switch N°2 ofSW1 in the "OFF" position (Fig. 15).
Jumper J1 on the receiver in position "2-3" relay contact NC
20 m
(Fig. 20).
Both codings must be selected in the same way on both
12-24V ac/dc
the transmitting and the receiving ends at the time of
12-24V ac/dc
installation.

PROGRAMMING THE TRANSMITTER
25 mA max
• The transmitter (TX) is set at the factory with a transmission
1A max at 30V
range of 10 metres under optimal conditions: Dip-switch N°1
dc
ofSW1 in the "OFF" position (Fig. 15).
• Switching Dip-switch N°1 ofSW1 to the "ON" position gives
-10 – 55 °C
the maximum distance of 20 meters under optimal condi-
54
tions (Fig. 16).

Operation Coding Selection "A" and "B" (via
Dip-switch N° 2 ofSW1)
The photocell has two operating channels
coded "A" and "B", Figs. 17 and 18.
Pay special care to ensure that the codings
are the same way on both the transmitter and
the receiver.
Operation coding "A" or "B" is carried out with
Dip-switch N° 2 ofSW1:
• Dip-switch N° 2 ofSW1 OFF position: Coding
operation A (factory settings), Fig. 17.
• Dip-switch N° 2 of SW1 ON position: Coding
operation B, Fig. 18.

PROGRAMMING THE RECEIVER
Contact selection NO/NC relay (via Jumper
J1), Fig. 19 and 20
The NO (Normally Open) or NC (Normally
Closed) relay contact type can be chosen.
• J1 position 1-2: NO relay contact.
• J1 position 2-3: NC relay contact (factory
settings).
