1. Start by taking the

2. Wash the cartridge under running water 2-3 times. Do not be alarmed by the black-col-
ored water flowing out of the filter, this is perfectly normal.

NOTE: Repeat the cleaning of the cartridge and the jug multiple times, as described in steps
1-7, every time the filter cartridge is replaced with a new one.
For optimum performance, the filter cartridge should be replaced after about
150 liters of water, which corresponds to approximately 60 days of normal use. To
keep track of when the filter is in need of replacement, the jug is equipped with
