specified in the instructions. Charging improperly or at
temperatures outside the specified range may damage the
battery and increase the risk of fire.
6) Service
a) Have your power tool serviced by a qualified repair person
using only identical replacement parts. This will ensure that
the safety of the power tool is maintained.
b) Never service damaged battery packs. Service of battery
packs should only be performed by the manufacturer or
authorised service providers.

WARNING:

Hold the power tool by insulated gripping surfaces, when
performing an operation where the cutting accessory may
contact hidden wiring or its own cord. Cutting accessory
contacting a "live" wire may make exposed metal parts of
the power tool "live" and could give the operator an electric
shock.

Use clamps or another practical way to secure and support
the workpiece to a stable platform. Holding the workpiece
by hand or against your body leaves it unstable and may
lead to loss of control.
a) Ensure that lighting is adequate
b) Keep the area free of tripping hazards
c) Wear appropriate safety equipment including eye
protection and gloves to protect against vibration
d) Never saw near combustible liquids or gases
e) Check for hidden wiring and pipes before sawing
f) Use recommended blades only
g) Blades must be sharp and not cracked or distorted
h) Before starting work, inspect the workpiece and remove all
embedded objects such as nails, screws etc
i) Support and secure the workpiece correctly
j) When cutting cylindrical wood, use clamps that prevent the
workpiece from turning
k) Use the insulated handles when operating power tools. This
protects the operator if the tool accidentally cuts through
hidden electrical wiring, causing the tool to become 'live'
l) Always stand to one side when operating the saw
m) Do not use your hands to remove sawdust, chips or waste
close to the blade
n) Never reach over the blade to remove waste or off-cuts
o) Do not attempt to free a jammed blade until the machine
has been disconnected from the power
p) Do not attempt to slow or stop a blade with any object. Let
the blade come to rest naturally
q) If you are interrupted when operating the saw, complete
the process and switch off before looking up
r) Periodically check the tool for loose nuts, bolts and tighten
as necessary
s) Even when used as prescribed it is not possible to eliminate
all residual risk factors. Use with caution. If you are at all
unsure of the correct and safe manner in which to use this
tool, do not attempt to use it.

Protect your hands
•
Do not allow hands to get close to the cutting wheel
or blades. Use a suitable push stick for shorter
workpieces with appropriate power tools
Be aware of others around you
• It is the responsibility of the user to ensure that
other people in the vicinity of the work area are not
exposed to dangerous noise or dust and are also
provided with suitable protective equipment
Hidden objects
•
Inspect the workpiece and remove all nails and
other embedded objects before cutting
• Do not attempt to cut material that contains
embedded objects unless you know that the cutting
tool fitted to your machine is suitable for the job
• Walls may conceal wiring and piping, car body
panels may conceal fuel lines, and long grass may
conceal stones and glass. Always check the work
area thoroughly before proceeding
Beware of projected waste
•
In some situations, waste material may be
projected at speed from the cutting tool. It is the
user's responsibility to ensure that other people in
the work area are protected from the possibility of
projected waste
Fitting cutting tools
• Ensure cutting tools are correctly and securely
fitted and check that wrenches / adjusters are
removed prior to use

Only use cutting tools recommended for your
machine
•
Do not attempt to modify cutting tools
•
Ensure blades are sharp, in good condition and
correctly fitted
•
Do not attempt to resharpen blades that are not
suitable for resharpening, these may include
specially hardened blades or blades made from
hardened alloys typically containing tungsten
