14. SINGLE-PHASE MOTOR

Single-phase 220V motors must operate with a capacitor with a capacity adequate to the power per-
manently connected to the circuit.
As shown in the picture, the yellow wire is the common wire and must be connected to the L line,
interposing a suitable overload relay.
The blue wire is the phase and must be connected to the N line.
The brown wire has to be connected to one connector of the capacitor; the other connector of the
capacitor has to be connected to the N line together with the blue wire.
