INSTALLATION AND CONNECTION

1.- Prepare the control unit mod. SCF-550, the president microphones mod. SCF-560P and the delegate
microphones mod. SCF-570D for their connection.
The control unit mod. SCF-550 is supplied with a 13 m extension cable with male DIN 8 connectors to
-
female DIN 8 for the interconnection of devices, a male XLR cable to a female XLR and an RCA cable to
a 6.3 mm mono jack for audio output and the power supply cable.
The president microphones mod SCF-560P and delegate microphones SCF-570D are supplied with a
-
"Y" shaped interconnection cable of 2 + 1.5 m with a female DIN 8 connector for connecting to the
control unit interconnection cable or the previous microphone and two male DIN 8 connectors for
connecting to the microphone and extending the line to the next microphone.
2.- Connect the extension cable to one of the 4 sockets in the group (DELEGATES) in the control unit. In each
one of the 4 lines a maximum of 30 microphones can be connected. Connect the other end of the
extension cable to an interconnection cable in the "Y" of a microphone. One of the branches of the cable
in the "Y" connection must be connected to the microphone, while the other branch allows the line to be
extended to the next microphone.
As many microphones as you wish can be connected (up to a maximum of 30 units per group, in total a
maximum of 64 units in the whole installation).
NOTE: if your conference system iscomposed of more than 30 microphones per group, it is
recommended that the male DIN 8 terminal connector is used. Connect it in the last "Y" cable to the
longest branch.
3.- If you wish, connect some of the line level outputs (balanced XLR or unbalanced RCA) to an amplifier
input. Similarly, a recording device can be connected to the REC output.
4.- Use low impedance loudspeakers 4-16 Ω to connect them to the loudspeaker output of the central unit's
amplifier so as to be able to reproduce the sound of the conference.
5.- Connect the control unit to the power supply socket 230 V AC and switch on the device using the switch.
6.- To speak through a microphone, press the activation button. When you have finished speaking,
deactivate the microphone by pressing the same button again. If the microphone is active, the LED ring
will light up.
7.- The president microphone can deactivate the delegate microphones at any time by pressing the priority
button PRIOR.
