DISASSEMBLY OVERVIEW
REMOVAL
1. Jack up the vehicle and disassemble the respective wheel.
2. Support the rear wheel suspension using a gearbox lifter or similar.
3. Take the handbrake cable out of the trailing arm (C) mount (Fig .4) so that the trailing arm does
not catch on the handbrake cable and is free downwards.
4. Attention: before disassembly, the installation position of the old bushing must be marked. Apply
a marking to the trailing arm so that the new trailing arm bushing can be mounted in the identical
position (Fig. 3-4).
5. Undo the 3 screws on the trailing arm bushing to the bodywork.
6. Position the C-ring (9) on the hole (D) of the trailing arm. In doing so, align the gap in the C-ring
to the mount for the hand brake cable (C) (Fig. 6-7).
7. The ring is kept in its position using the three magnets used.
8. Using the tool components (1-6), push the complete frame over the trailing arm (Fig. 6-9). In
doing so, take care that there is sufficient space between the spindle and bushing for adapter (7)
(Fig. 8).
9. Position adapter (7) on the bushing without stop (8) and pre-tension the tool with the spindle.
10. Check the seating of the frame and the adapter, the C-ring (9) must sit correctly in the groove of
the base plate (4) and on the trailing arm and adapter (7) must be aligned on the metal sleeve of
the rubber bushing (Fig. 9).
11. Press out the rubber bushing by turning the spindle clockwise. In the mean time, check every
now and then if the tool remains aligned correctly.
