1 Safety-Related Guidelines for REFUSOL
1.1 Introduction
To prevent personal injury and/or material damage, read the following notes before first putting the
system into operation. The safety-related guidelines must be observed at all times.

1.2 Qualified Personnel

The operating instructions are intended for the following persons:
•
Electricians who commission the device themselves and connect it to other units of the PV
system.
•
Service and maintenance technicians who install device expansions or carry out error analy-
ses. This documentation is intended for skilled specialist personnel. It is assumed that the ba-
sic technical requirements of PV systems are known.
•
The device may only be installed by qualified specialists.
- The installer must be licensed according to national regulations.
- There may be cases where the installer must be licensed by the responsible power supplier.
•
This device may only be operated, maintained, serviced and repaired by qualified per-
sonnel having been trained for working on or with electrical equipment.

and installation as well as for additional safety-related guidelines,
please refer to the detailed operating instructions which you can find
on the package CD or under http://www.refusol.de.
Any misuse of these devices and failure to observe the warnings con-
tained herein or improper interference with the safety equipment and
the device may result in material damage, personal injury, electric
shock, or even death.
