Select the DC plug tip (2 included plus original tip-total of 3 sizes) that fits into your laptop/tablet.

Connect the DC plug tip to the Power Adapter output cable or simply use the original tip, see picture 2.

Use the included power cable to connect the Power Adapter to an AC power outlet. (Confirm
that the Power LED light.)
With your laptop/tablet turned off, plug the adapter's DC tip into the power jack of your laptop/tablet.

Turn the laptop/tablet on.
