Input selection and AV connections
Defining the INPUT and OUTPUT sockets so that the television recognises connected equipment. See page 6
for a clear view of the back connection recommendations.
Most VCRs and decoders send a signal through the SCART
lead to switch the television to the correct Input socket.
Alternatively press the external source selection button
until the picture from connected equipment is shown. This
button must be used to view equipment connected using
the COMPONENT VIDEO INPUT (EXT 4).
An S in the display e.g. EXT 3S, indicates the input is set
for an S-Video signal.
Digital Audio on the screen indicates that the external
source has been set as a digital audio input. (ZP48 only)

This television is provided with 2 digital audio inputs – DA-1
and DA-2 – so that equipment can stay permanently
connected.
For example: connect the video signal from a DVD to the
Component Video Input (EXT 4) and from a games
console to SCART 2 (EXT 2), connect the audio cables to
the inputs on the back of the television. Match the two up
as follows:
If DA-1 (optical) has been connected to the DVD
1
player, select AV connection from the Feature
menu and press Q to highlight Digital input-1,
