• Install the screws (1) in the hinge pins.
CAUTION
These screws are provided with a reuseable locking jelly. Holmatro advises to use these
screws 10 times at the utmost and then to replace them.
• Install the cutter bolt (7).
• Install the castle nut and tighten with a torque of 50 Nm (6).
• Position the toothed locking disc (5) by rotating or to turn around the ring in such a way that:
- The inside notches match with the teeth on the cutter bolt (7)
- The outside teeth match with the crenels on the castle nut (6).
• Install the cover ring (4).
• Install the screw (3) in the cutter bolt (7).

BCU 40, lubrication of parts and changing blades

Remove the blades
Refer to Fig. 13.
• Fold the protective sleeve backwards (1).
• Check the guide pin (2).
• Remove protection caps. (11)
• Remove the outer locking ring (4).
• Remove the inner locking ring (3).
• Loosen the centre nut (5).
• Remove the hinge pins (6).
• Remove centre bolt (10).
• Remove the blades (9).
Lubricate the parts
Refer to Fig. 14
• Clean and degrease the cutter blades, cutter bolt and hinge pins.
• Spray the indicated areas (Fig. 14/1) with Teflon spray only.
• Apply a thin layer of Molykote BR2 grease to the highlighted areas (Fig. 14/2).
Install the (new) blades
• Position the blades (9).
• Install the centre bolt (10).
• Install the hinge pins (6).
CAUTION

• Install the centre nut and tighten with a torque of 50 Nm (5).
• Install the inner locking ring (3).
• Install the outer locking ring (4).
• Install the protection caps (11).
• Fold protective sleeve back into position (2).
