QUICK GUIDE
We have compiled a short set of rules below to explain the most important
rules simply and quickly. The quick guide is intended both for those who
have already gained some playing experience and for players and teams
who want to quickly look up a rule again. Basically, it should be said that not
everything in beer pong is written down in rules, or that not every rule is set
in stone. For example, a rule may be interpreted or treated differently at a
tournament than it would be for a team playing a normal game at home at the
weekend. One example is the 'elbow rule'. There are tournaments in which
it is allowed to lean over the edge of the table and thus also with the elbow
when throwing. Nevertheless, the majority play with the 'elbow rule', which
prohibits the posture above the edge of the table. Therefore, we recommend
communicating the rules used before the start of the game to avoid
discrepancies during the game.
1. EQUIPMENT
Not much preparation is needed to play beer pong. Nevertheless, you will need
a few utensils, which we have summarised for you:
Beer pong: What you need
•
An original BeerCup-Classics beer pong table
•
22 or 14 plastic cups (we recommend the Red BeerCups or SOLO Cups)
•
Two table tennis balls
•
Sufficient drinks (e.g. beer)
•
Four players in teams of 2 (but a game is also possible with two players or
more than four players)
2. THE TEAM
Typically, beer pong is played one-on-one or in teams of two. Whereby on each
side of the table there is a team with players in equal numbers.
